About Mary Helen
Hi, I’m Mary Helen Richer, and I believe every neurodivergent individual and family deserves to feel seen, supported, and celebrated. My work is rooted in years of walking alongside people through moments of overwhelm, transition, and discovery — and witnessing the incredible strength that emerges when someone finally feels understood.
Richer Lives was born from that belief. Over more than a decade of leadership in the neurodiversity and disability community, I’ve sat with families at kitchen tables, supported individuals through life‑changing decisions, and helped organizations rethink what true inclusion looks like. Again and again, I’ve seen that when we shift the focus from “fixing” to uncovering strengths, everything changes.

My coaching style is warm, grounded, and deeply relational. I meet people exactly where they are — without judgment, without pressure — and together we explore what’s getting in the way and what’s possible. I gently challenge patterns and assumptions to spark new insights and solutions, and I celebrate every win, whether it’s a breakthrough moment or a quiet step forward. Growth doesn’t have to be loud to be meaningful.
People often tell me they feel calmer, clearer, and more hopeful after we talk. That’s the heart of my work: helping individuals and families move from overwhelm to clarity, from isolation to connection, and from limitation to possibility.
Outside of coaching, I’m someone who finds joy in simple, grounding routines. I love getting lost in a good book, spending quiet evenings crocheting, and carving out moments of calm that help me recharge. These small creative rituals keep me centered and remind me of the same truth I hold for my clients — that growth often begins in the gentlest places.
If you’re looking for a partner who will walk with you, challenge your thinking with compassion, and celebrate your progress every step of the way, I’m here.
